Day 27: A Quiet Check-In
We hit 61 subscribers today.
I know that might sound small in internet terms, but for me it’s massive.
Every number is a human being, choosing to open their inbox and meet me here.
And honestly, thank you. I don’t take that lightly.
Before I continue, hello and good evening.
If you’re new, welcome to The Stack, my 75-day practice of showing up. One honest brick a day on creativity, meaning and the messy art of beginning again.
Today’s brick is simple.
A quick check-in, and for me (a quiet pause)
To tell you the truth, I’m tired.
Like the kind of tired where every idea sounds like it needs a nap before it becomes a sentence. I have deadlines stacked to the ceiling, i’ve been travelling like a whale and every task in my world, seems just as important as the next.
But I’m learning that rest isn’t the opposite of progress.
Sometimes it’s the thing that keeps progress from collapsing.
And here’s the honest truth I’ve been thinking about:
A daily newsletter is beautiful, but maybe it’s also a lot.
For you. For me. For the rhythm of this whole thing.
Maybe the future shape of The Stack shifts.
Maybe it becomes slower.
Maybe it becomes deeper.
Maybe it becomes something none of us can see yet.
I’m not sure, but this is my honest input today. I’ve also been thinking about an assistant, i’ve been too shy to admit it but I need someone who can volunteer some time and work with me, so if you’re a budding creative looking to get experience of my world (Linkedin me for more info) and you’re great at scheduling and overall just a budding powerhouse of skills, then pls hit me up.
Currently I can’t pay much except opportunities, access, and a true helping hand but hey, if you want to learn and do, and make a portfolio whilst doing that, then message me, I need your help.
That’s me shooting my shot.
Back to the stack? I want to do this better, and I need your help.
So here’s my second ask, if you’re willing:
What’s been most helpful so far?
What would you love more of?
What would make this feel sustainable for you, not noisy?
You can reply directly to this email or drop a comment.
I genuinely want to hear from you.
See you tomorrow,
J.
